Electrochemical energy storage system that forms an electrochemical double layer at the interface between the charged electrode and electrolyte ions of opposite charge.

Carbide-derived carbon; carbide-derived carbon

Microporous carbon with a pore size distribution of less than 2 nm, formed by extracting metal atoms from a carburized precursor during high-temperature treatment.

Chlorination; chlorination

Process for converting a carbide precursor into carbide-derived carbon by extracting metal atoms by reaction with chlorine gas (Cl 2 ) at high temperature.
