1. Microwave domain

The microwave domain covers a range of frequencies from around 100 MHz to around 100 GHz. Applications in this frequency range cover everything from FM radio to radar, to put it simply, and have always used conventional materials such as metals, dielectrics and magnetic materials, as well as composite materials. These composite materials, which came into being almost at the same time as radar in the late 1930s, are designed to meet a variety of needs, such as antenna protection, electromagnetic shielding or camouflage, using dielectric, metallic, absorbing or electromagnetically active materials.
