2. Basic functional circuits for active filters
Resistors, capacitors, operational or transconductance amplifiers are combined to create active filters. The basic building blocks are presented below.
2.1 Active circuits
These are almost exclusively conventional operational amplifiers or transconductance amplifiers. The usual transfer function notations are used, with the Laplace variable p=jw or the pulsation w=2pf depending on the case.
