2. Anticipation of networks to accommodate renewable energies via S3REnRs
Regional grid connection schemes for renewable energies (S3REnR) were introduced by the "Grenelle 2" law and implemented by its implementing decree of April 20, 2012.
Drawn up by the network operators and validated by the regional prefect, they reflect the regional climate, air and energy plans (SRCAE), which set targets for the development of renewable energies (RE) in each administrative region.
The S3REnR is an effective tool for optimizing and anticipating the network upgrades needed to accommodate renewable energies, by offering them reserved capacity over the long term (10 years from publication of the plan) and visibility on the costs and timescales of these network upgrades.
