3. Fault identification

This determination involves simple methods for measuring insulation resistance and conductor continuity, as well as voltage withstand tests.

It's important to bring this investigation to its conclusion before claiming to make a choice of method, even if the elements already known seem clear. "Too often, we have seen defect investigations aborted or severely delayed because of haste and misplaced obstinacy."

3.1 Insulation resistance measurement

We determine the apparent resistance between each phase conductor and the screen connected to earth or neutral, or between two phase conductors.
