5. Accessories mounted on conductors

There are several types of parts installed on conductors. Most of these parts are fastened to the cable at a controlled torque. Their performance over time also depends on the following criteria:

  • the inner shape of the clamp must be rounded off to avoid injuring the driver;

  • parts must have no sharp edges or protruding bolts.

5.1 Illuminated beacons

These beacons are used for night beaconing of lines in the vicinity of airfields (figure 8 ).
