4. Station components

4.1 Span technology

The modularity of the modular indoor substation is based on the use of standard components, which can be arranged to adapt firstly to the spatial layout corresponding to the one-line diagram, and secondly to the temporal evolution of the substation.

  • In a compartmentalized type substation, each bay comprises four main compartments which make it possible to complete the entire substation (figure 3 ):

    • the connection compartment for overhead or underground feeders or outlets (item 1);

    • circuit-breaker compartment (item 2) ;...
