5. Application example
This example deals with a simple case that illustrates the influence of the various parameters and phenomena presented in the article: a dwelling (detached house) protected or not by a lightning conductor. This example deals only with the problems of overvoltages and lightning arresters on the power supply network, which not only accounts for most of the lightning strikes, but is also the most complicated to understand.
The house is supplied by a buried single-phase low-voltage line with TT neutral. No other services penetrate the structure (no metal pipes, no copper telephone lines, etc.).
