1. Theoretical review: analyzing an electrical circuit

The classic approach to analyzing an electrical circuit is based on the application of the Laplace transform. In the simple example of the circuit shown in figure 1 , switch S is initially open and then switched on at time t = 0. The differential equation of the circuit is given by :
