3. Distribution architecture

3.1 Possible energy sources

Depending on the site, and often on the same site, there are three possible sources:

  • supply from a public distribution network ;

  • supplied by a stand-alone power station or a local emergency power unit ;

  • uninterruptible power supply via charger/battery/inverter combinations.
