4. The different types of resistance ovens

The classification of resistance furnaces is based on the following criteria:

  • the nature of resistance and their position in relation to the load (direct or indirect radiation, forced convection, heating chamber ventilation);

  • the furnace operating mode: continuous or continuous heating, discontinuous, using fixed or static loads;

  • Handling mode (continuous belt, vibration, helical screw, mobile housing, etc.);

  • the nature of the atmosphere and medium: ambient (air), controlled atmosphere, vacuum, liquid medium, fluidized bath;

  • mode of heat transmission: radiation, convection
