The evaluation of the heat balance, taking into account the characteristics of each component and configuration, leads to the following figures for a heating cycle or continuous operation:
the energy stored in the load ;
energy stored in the supports ;
stored energy and heat flux transmitted by the walls, vault and hearth;
heat flow and energy lost through joints, air inlets/outlets and door openings;
heat flux lost through atmospheric heating and thermal bridges (including cold passages in heating elements);
the heat flow lost through the cooling water.
