1. Constraints on equipment design and use

1.1 General

The insulation function must be considered at the design stage, taking into account the environment (in the broadest sense of the term) in which the system will operate.

This design must meet :

  • functional specifications ;

  • environmental specifications.

Together, these two components must satisfy the third, which is the search for the technico-economic optimum.
