In recent years, research has been carried out worldwide to find more efficient materials for electrical equipment. One important advantage is the possibility of reducing the thickness of insulators by using more efficient materials, thus increasing the amount of copper and consequently the power to be transmitted. One promising avenue is the use of nanoparticles, which increase the performance of equipment insulation without thickening it.

This new class of materials is currently the subject of intense research activity, and preliminary results are encouraging
