3. Difficulties in solving EMC problems

As shown in figure 29 , techniques for solving electromagnetic interference problems are well known, whatever the level of complexity of the electrical and/or electronic system under consideration. We know that, to combat coupling by common impedance, an equipotential ground network must be used, that the return path of currents must be carefully studied if effective decoupling is to be implemented, and that filters must be used on power supplies to remedy coupling by conduction. We also know that, to combat the effects of radiation coupling, ground loops must be minimized, shielding used and/or the victim receiver moved further...
