INTRODUCTION
A test is an operation consisting in subjecting a product to a stress or stimulus in order to verify its reactions.
-
Byproduct is meant either a component or an installation:
a component is, for example, an electric generator or a high-voltage (HV) circuit breaker or an electric toy;
an installation is, for example, a power station or an intelligent building or a chemical complex or an installed power socket.
A stress is, for example, the application of an electric current, with the observed reaction being the resulting heating.
Unstimulus is, for example, the forcing of a sensor, the observed reaction being the response of the automation to this forcing.
