• Decree 80-637 of August 4, 1980, article 3 amending article R111-18 of the French Construction and Housing Code.
Extract from the decree of August 4, 1980:
"Floors not served by elevators must be accessible to all physically handicapped people with reduced mobility via a staircase designed in such a way that the persons concerned can receive appropriate assistance".
