2.1 Cement-based floors
Cement-based floors occupy an important place among industrial floors.
Conventional concrete paving, whose aggregates have not been selected for their abrasion resistance, is not sufficiently resistant to wear. Dust, potholes and spalls quickly appear under the action of traffic, requiring more frequent maintenance and partial or total immobilization of the premises for repairs.
To obtain a resistant floor based on hydraulic binders, it is necessary to take action on the quality of the concrete base, the constituents of the wearing course or coating, the curing of the concrete and the quality of the installation.
