2. Geothermal heat production: process and technical implementation

2.1 Principle

Low-energy geothermal energy corresponds to temperatures between 30 and 100°C. It can be used for a wide range of applications, including district heating, greenhouse heating and industrial heating.

Very low-energy geothermal energy is based on capturing heat from the ground via a network buried at around 1.50 m from the surface, and delivering it to the underfloor heating system via a heat pump.
