2. Air conditioning system components

2.1 Air handling units

As we have already seen, an air handling unit (AHU) is a technical air treatment device designed to modify the characteristics of an incoming air stream in response to a command.

It's a technical element dedicated to heating, cooling, humidifying or dehumidifying commercial or industrial premises; it's an all-air system with constant or variable flow.

An AHU is either a monoblock unit, or made up of modules added together depending on the configuration: ventilation module, cold and hot coil module, filter module, etc.
