3. Vapor barrier and thermal insulation
When roofs and flat roofs are waterproofed, they are usually insulated at the same time, with sheets of insulating material:
expanded polystyrene ;
polyurethane foam ;
Foamglass ;
mineral wool ;
etc.
A complete system is therefore installed, as shown in figure 6 , comprising the following elements, starting from the load-bearing element:
