5. Greening complex
The composition of a vegetation complex depends on several parameters: location, slope, load-bearing capacity of the supporting element, aesthetic requirements, level of maintenance accepted by the client... The various components are applied directly to the waterproofing. In the case of an inverted roof, the green roofing complex is laid on top of the thermal insulation, possibly with an interposing layer.
5.1 Drainage layer
The drainage layer evacuates excess water and prevents root asphyxiation. It is optional for slopes greater than 5%, or even 3% in some cases. Drainage materials must have a permeability of at least 0.3 cm/s (180 mm/m), be frost-resistant and structurally stable (figure
