2. Certifications for new housing

Certification of a housing project is a voluntary process undertaken by a project owner (social landlord or developer) or a builder of single-family homes, who chooses to have the quality of his or her real estate programs checked and validated.

In recent years, the number and diversity of certifications relating to housing quality has increased in response to the different expectations of future homeowners and tenants, as well as building owners and developers. These certifications applied to new homes are generally multi-criteria, with the possibility of taking options that highlight the effort made to improve the environmental quality and/or energy efficiency of the project.
