For local authorities, dispersed individual housing has a number of negative aspects: high operating costs due to the dispersal of services (maintenance of roads and networks, public transport, school collection, waste removal, mail distribution, etc.), difficulty in ensuring a social and intergenerational mix, consumption of space, particularly rural space, energy and resources, soil sealing....
