2. Product dimensions
When it comes to the very consistency of the "product", i.e. the object that is made available to the end user, there are two major shortcomings:
first of all, the total absence of the user, except in the final analysis, to take the built thing in hand. This observation must be accompanied by another: the increasingly lengthening of the value chain, and consequently also of the logistics chain;
then the building is essentially designed for an immediate use: delivery. However, the life cycle of a building is not limited to its first use. It undergoes aging, a deterioration in its performance. It's rare for developers to take this life cycle into account, and they're more concerned with real estate development than with a product that's destined to last.
