Functional Analysis
Functional analysis can have two meanings. In Systems Engineering, it consists in analyzing the system's functions, or what the system does, i.e. the "what" . Functional Analysis is also a design method within the framework of a value analysis approach, and "consists of researching and characterizing the functions offered by a product to satisfy the needs of its user" .
