1.1 Maintenance

In addition to the external environment, which is common to all constructions, hydraulic structures are subject to characteristic internal stresses due to the contents and possible release of gas or steam, or the formation of condensation above the filling level.

Different forms of aggression can therefore be encountered. They can be physical and mechanical, or chemical and biological.

It is therefore advisable to carry out a complete inspection of the inside of a structure when it is emptied for cleaning, which should take place at least once a year.
