 INTRODUCTION

in collaboration with Cabinet d'Études Marc Merlin.

This article deals with the evacuation, outside urban or rural areas, of water of all kinds, as well as the waste from human activity that is inseparable from it. This drainage is almost always underground, in sewers.

It should be noted that the evacuation, by the same hydraulic route, of household waste previously crushed by an under-sink unit is currently prohibited in France by regulations.

We will successively examine the nature of the water to be evacuated, the characteristics of the effluents (pollution, flow rates), the characteristics of the structures intended for evacuation, the construction and finally the operation of these structures.
