5. Diagnosis
When a pavement is in a state of disrepair, or when it is necessary to verify its compatibility with specific traffic conditions, a geotechnical diagnosis should be carried out (mission G5 according to standard NF P 94-500).
Several means of investigation can be used, but the diagnosis is generally carried out according to the following methodology.
5.1 Data to be collected
The pavement survey should provide an overview of the situation and the following parameters:
traffic ;
visual surface condition (visible damage);
pavement deformability (deflections) ;
the thicknesses of the layers...
