4. Conclusion
As indicated in the introduction to this article, elastomeric geomembranes and bituminous geomembranes are less widely used than the thermoplastic polymeric geomembranes described in the article "Thermoplastic Polymeric Geomembranes". However, as that article showed, elastomeric geomembranes and bituminous geomembranes have very interesting properties which make them the geomembranes of choice in many applications. It is therefore important to be able to compare the different types of geomembranes. This is done in another article entitled "Comparing Geomembranes".
