2. Selection criteria for watertight, durable structures

Allowing structures to retain their integrity and waterproofing qualities for the entire foreseeable duration of their use, as required by the Eurocodes according to the structural class chosen, makes sense in terms of durability.

This applies both to the structure (reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, masonry) and to the cladding, which can either complement the waterproofing by waterproofing or provide the waterproofing itself.

In particular, they must not come unstuck if they are adherent, nor come loose if they are free-standing or mechanically fixed, nor be chemically degraded. They must not crack or blister.
