Project service life as defined by Eurocodes

Period during which the structure performs its function without requiring anything other than routine maintenance or servicing.

Can be equated with the durability of the structure, i.e. its ability to perform the functions for which it was designed in such a way that its deterioration, during its useful life, does not reduce its expected performance, taking into account the environment and the level of maintenance planned.

Waterproofing

Leaktightness is the characteristic quality of a structure that resists the passage of water or a fluid (liquid and/or gas) within the leak rate limits defined for its operation. Watertightness of a structure can be achieved by systems used alone or in combination:
