4.1 VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds)

As already mentioned (§ 1.1.1 ), formaldehyde solutions are irritating to the skin and severely irritating to the eyes. Vapors cause transient and reversible sensory irritation of the eyes and respiratory tract (nose and throat). Symptoms worsen with massive or repeated exposure. A carcinogenic effect is suspected.
