Bardage ; Cladding
Vertical wall cladding (long sides and gables) forming part of the building envelope. These are lightweight, single- or double-skin elements with integrated insulation. Sandwich panel cladding is also available.
Bretelle ; Batten plate
Tensioned diagonals designed to transmit the forces of a system of links or hangers to adjacent frames.
Couverture ; Roof cladding
Covering the upper part (roof) of buildings. Like cladding, roofing is part of the building envelope. Like cladding, it is generally made from lightweight single- or double-skin elements with integrated insulation, or from sandwich panels.
