3. Testing of composite T-beams in serviceability limit states

In mixed steel/concrete construction, the objectives of the serviceability limit state checks are defined in [C 2 560] , § 2.2.3. For traditional buildings, the checks to be carried out include deflections, concrete cracking and, where applicable, floor vibrations, as EN 1994-1-1 does not, in general, impose stress limits on beams (clause 7.2.2(1)).
