There are many applications for bonding in the construction industry, which can be classified into several types to help understand how they are used.
The oldest and simplest techniques are for gluing decorative coverings such as wallpaper, plastic flooring, carpets and decorative laminate veneers. With these techniques, a covering is glued over its entire surface; the risks of delamination are low and pose no danger to others; the durability requirement is only 10 or 20 years, as these coverings are changed regularly. We currently benefit from 50 years' experience in this type of bonding.

Then, 35 years ago, cement-glues (in powder form) and adhesives for tiles, ceramic coverings and stone were introduced to replace traditional cement laying.
