As a multi-purpose, multi-functional product, it goes without saying that lime has to meet a large number of requirements expressed in numerous standards, both product standards and application standards. Readers wishing to delve deeper into the subject should refer to the relevant application standards. However, in the "For further information" section, you will find references to two product standards for important uses:
NF EN 12518 : chemicals used for the treatment of water intended for human consumption. – Lime (classification index: T94-254);
NF EN 459 : building lime.
