5. Planned developments

Standards are constantly evolving. At the time of writing, the standardization group in charge of these products (CEN/TC33/WG5) is working in several areas:

  • revision of standard NF EN 13241-1 to incorporate the provisions of "guide document M" on assessing conformity with the Construction Products Directive;

  • the revision of standard EN 12604 on mechanical aspects and associated test methods (EN 12605) and standard EN 12453 on the safety of motorized products and associated test methods (EN 12445);

  • the production of a standard document on the burglar-proofing of garage doors;

  • drafting of the product standard for industrial, commercial and garage doors with fire-retardant or flame-retardant characteristics (EN 13241-2).
