2. Grid curtain wall

The framework is made up of multi-level stiles and cross-members, usually assembled on site (partial pre-assembly in the workshop is often possible). Vertical covers are threaded, while horizontal ones stop at the top, creating the grid effect that gives this design its name.

Advantage: it's easy to manufacture, requiring little handling in the workshop or on site. What's more, it can be produced by any company, however small.

Disadvantage: AEV performance is often not the best. As the work involved on site is much greater, quality depends on the installer.
