7. Thermal

It is necessary to consult the current thermal regulations. As these are regularly modified, they are not reproduced here. At present, we have to comply with RT 2005, but soon there will be RT 2010, then RT 2012...

This means that all aluminum profiles are thermally broken (with wide cuts), both for the frame and for the sashes.

To meet today's standards, you need a curtain wall (including its sashes) with good airtightness performance and thermal break profiles, even in the south of France. Thermal break profiles must comply with standard NF EN 14 024. On the other hand, double-flow ventilation can only be encouraged, because what's the point of making a façade very airtight to save energy if, on the other hand, you're putting in ventilation grilles?
