1. General installation rules

The types of tile covered by this document are defined, illustrated and characterized in paragraph 1 of the fascicule. .

Clay roofing tiles with interlocking or sliding relief, and interlocking flat tiles, are designed to be laid on supporting frameworks established in compliance with the rules and standards in force for such frameworks. In particular, the supports for the battens (generally rafters) must be flat enough. The planarity error measured between three adjacent rafters must be, at the intermediate rafter, a maximum of 1/100 of the span between the end rafters....
