Laying tiles
The tiles are laid so that their tenons rest on the upper corner of the battens (see figure 2 ).
Interlocking or slip-on tiles can be laid in either straight or crossed joints, although some models can be laid either way.
Flat interlocking tiles are always laid in crossed joints, which means that half-tiles are used for the lateral edges, one for each row of tiles, laid at the end of the row.
