The main application for absorption chillers is building cooling. . High-capacity (industrial-scale) machines can be found in many large buildings, where they typically supply chilled water that circulates through heat exchangers throughout the building to cool the air. The advantage of absorption chillers is that they use a non-electric power source, offering flexibility to the designer, owner or user.
