6. Refrigerant expansion systems

The refrigerant is generally supplied to the vicinity of the evaporators or liquid separators under pressure ( p am ), in the liquid state, subcooled or not by a distribution system (see [BE 9 743] ), which may contain at least one of the circuits below:

  • a high-pressure liquid circuit from the condenser;

  • a medium-pressure circuit from an intermediate stage;

  • a low-pressure circuit with natural circulation (thermosiphon);
