5. Coupling heat pumps to the cold source (installation rules)

In the case of heat pumps, the cold source is the external source. There are three main cases: ground, water and air, as already mentioned.

5.1 Ground coupling

This solution may require an intermediate brine circuit between the heat pump and the ground.
