2. Capillary heat pipes

In the case of a capillary heat pipe, the capillary network can take a variety of forms (sintered, fabric layers or metal film mats, axial or circumferential grooves, etc.). These different network geometries generate a capillary pressure (p cap ) of varying magnitude, the value of which is given by the Laplace-Young equation:
