4. Insulation properties
The qualities of a good insulator are :
good resistance to heat transmission;
good mechanical strength ;
a very wide temperature range ;
good resistance to operating temperatures;
be non-flammable;
be chemically neutral (non-corrosive);
be resistant to external aggressions (humidity, rodents, etc.);
low specific mass to avoid overloading the systems;
low implementation costs.
