4.1 Measuring mast
The tower used to measure meteorological parameters, usually installed by the national meteorological organization, must be described. Several standards must be met to validate the data to be used, including :
measurement intervals of the order of 10 minutes or 3 hours at so-called synoptic times, when weather observers transmit an observation to their national center in a report giving a detailed account of the meteorological conditions (including wind measurements) prevailing at the station ;
