3.1.1 Basic principle

We will only describe here the main control chains of nuclear boilers equipped with recirculating SGs (as used in French power plants).

In this type of power plant, which operates as a priority turbine, the operator is free to adapt the turbine output to the demands of the grid. The basic principle is that the power produced by the reactor follows variations in the power demanded by the turbine.
