8. Projects in France

Most of the power reactors installed in France are PWRs. These reactors are characterized by an almost identical detection diagram reproduced on figure 4 .

The abscissa shows the gamma dose rate, and the ordinate the neutron flux. This figure shows the limits of the range covered by the reactor operating point in different situations, and the ranges covered by the three measurement chains.

8.1 900 MW reactors

The 900 MW PWR reactors were built with state-of-the-art nuclear instrumentation from 1975. It is entirely analog.
